Chiropractic Physician

In my office you are not just a number. Your treatment plan will be based on you and your body and will reflect your health care goals. We will talk together and decide together the best way to reach these goals.

I believe in the body’s ability to heal itself. My role as your chiropractor is to facilitate this healing. By relieving pressure in the spine and other joints, many types of pain and chronic conditions can be relieved or greatly improved. It may not happen overnight but everyone can improve.

Not all patients are the same. I use a variety of gentle techniques for those patients who do not like the usual chiropractic manipulations or who have special health needs.

My staff and I are dedicated to serving the needs of our patients. Melissa is available to file insurance, answer questions, and communicate with your other doctors or your attorney as needed. We want your experience here to be as pleasant as possible!

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is hands on manipulative treatment to help your body function properly.

Everybody knows that our bodies have the ability to heal themselves. That’s why we rest and try to eat healthy when we are ill, this gives our bodies the opportunity to recover naturally.

Chiropractic focuses on the body’s ability to heal itself. As your chiropractor, Dr. Quick will help you get healthy and stay healthy!

The most important thing to remember is that it is a manual therapy. The goal of this therapy is to restore and maintain the proper functioning of the body.

Chiropractic is different from other therapies which are designed to mask pain and treat symptoms, rather than correcting the underlying problems. By knowing the cause of your pain we can help prevent it from coming back.

Specialties and Techniques
Applied Kinesiology & Rehabilitation

Chiropractic education does not stop with graduation. Every year I improve my skills with new techniques as well as continuing with my two special interests.

I have over 200 hours of post-graduate training in Applied Kinesiology (A.K.) Applied Kinesiology is a method of analysis and treatment that incorporates the usual chiropractic adjustments with acupressure, muscle strength testing, cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and nutritional counseling.

The Applied Kinesiology helps me pinpoint specific muscles and areas of the body that have been injured. Treatment is more focused and helps you get better faster.

With my recent 100 hours of low level rehabilitation courses I have more ways to help you heal existing injuries and prevent re-injury after treatment. Current research indicates that proper joint coordination and endurance are essential for preventing injury and good spinal and general joint health. Weak muscles and injured areas need to strengthened and re-trained to work properly.

You can expect to get an exercise program designed for you that is easy to do at home. Your program will be updated and changed based on your progress. I will be counting on you to participate actively in your healing.

Getting to Know Sally Quick, DC

I grew up on the East Coast outside of Boston in Lexington Massachusetts. I attended Boston College as psychology major. It was during my introductory psychology classes where we learned how the brain functions and the nerves transmit messages between the brain and the body that I unwittingly discovered Chiropractic.

I thought if all the nerves were communicating properly than people would feel better and function better in their lives. They would have less pain and be happier. I found out four years later, after graduation when I was searching for a career alternative to psychology that I had basically formulated what is the most basic premise of chiropractic theory.

In order to go to chiropractic school I had to take two years of pre-med classes at Hunter College in New York City. In 1986 I moved to Pasadena Texas, a suburb of Houston for my long awaited chiropractic studies at Texas Chiropractic College.

After my graduation I moved to Switzerland and practiced with an associate in a very busy office in Lausanne, on Lake Geneva until 1993. During that time I perfected my French while taking the required courses and rigorous examinations to be a licensed chiropractic physician in Switzerland.

I spent the next three years working in my own office in a small village called Bussigny. There I had many farmers for patients and enjoyed learning more about Switzerland first hand. I came to Tucson to be with my family in 1996.

I practice what I preach and have an active and healthy lifestyle. To keep myself in shape I hike, bike, do yoga and take ballet classes. I have even been known to play some field hockey from time to time. I love the outdoors and try to get out camping and backpacking as often as I can. I strive for balance in life and in my work.

I love my work and enjoy each day as it comes. As soon as I learned about chiropractic and before I even had my first chiropractic adjustment, I knew that I wanted to be a chiropractor. I am lucky to have discovered the perfect career for me.

When I’m not out hiking I love to read, watch movies, and photography. I am a Wildcats fan and watch basketball and football whenever I can.

Thank you for reading about my practice, I look forward to hearing from you and helping you make the most out of life!
