Duplicate weapons (Final Fantasy 4) Get into a battle, then have the character who has the weapon to be duplicated select the "Item" command. Select a black space in the item list, then select the weapon to be duplicated. Exit the item list and have your character run away. Then, go to the menu screen and equip the weapon you chose to be duplicated. It should say that you have two of that weapon. Unequip and equip the weapon once more to add an extra weapon to the item list. Secret Developer's Room (Final Fantasy 4) The "Secret Developer's Room" is hidden in the Dwarf Castle in the Underworld. Between the weapon and armor shop is an odd section of wall that is actually a doorway to the "Rally-Ho" pub. On the right side of the pub is a fake wall. Walk through this wall and you will reach a staircase which leads to the Secret Programmer's Room. Skip Sealed Cave event (Final Fantasy 4) When you go to the Underworld and go to the Dwarf Kingdom, after you have to fight the dolls in the secret crystal chamber, Rydia returns and helps you fight. After you are done and back in the main chamber, use her warp spell to get back to the crystal room. The crystal will still be there. Approach and examine the crystal to take it. Later when you have to go to the Sealed Cave, if you have the Crystal, you will not have to enter it. You can skip that event and the game will automatically go to the sequence that normally happens as you are coming out. Defeating Asura (Final Fantasy 4) Cast Wall on Asura, and she will not be able to use her cure spells on herself, and they will be cast on your characters. Make sure your party is at least level 35 or higher. Attack her with Rydia's best spells and use your best sword with Cecil. Use the Fire Saber because it damages her the most. Note: The Fire Saber is obtained from the Tower of Bable immediately after getting the Earth Crystal. The spell you want to use with Rydia is Virus. It does at least 700 if your characters are up to level. Also, if you have Kain, make him jump because he usually has the most HP -- he does not have to be cured from the reflected cure spells from Ausara. Note: The less people in your group when they get cured, the more HP that they will get back. In other words, Kain needs to be in the air at all times. Defeating Golbez (Final Fantasy 4) When fighting Golbez in the underworld after defeating Calbrena, make sure Kain is up in the air before Golbez summons his dragon. If you do not, he will kill all of your characters before Rydia appears. You should have Cecil, Rydia, and if your lucky and your timing is correct, Kain. Note: Kain will really help in this battle; make him jump, have Cecil use his sword, and Rydia use Virus. Defeating Milon Z. (Final Fantasy 4) To kill Milon Z. easily, cast some Cure 4 spells on him, or give him some Elixirs. Defeating the 4 Fiends (Final Fantasy 4) To defeat the 4 Fiends easily, use their weaknesses. For Milion, keep using Fire spells and attack. When he dies, he will return as Milion Z. Use Fire, Cure, and attacks to defeat him easily. For Cagnazzo, use about two Bolt 3s and he should die, depending on your level. For Valvalis, have Kain jump and make her come out of her tornado form. Keep attacking her from there. For Rubicant, use Ice 3 only when his cape is open or else it will cure him. Have Edge throw swords, have Kain jump, and the rest attack. Note this strategy also works when you have to fight the 4 Fiends again when in the Giant, only Rubicant never closes his cape. Ending 1: Beyond Time (Chrono Trigger) To trigger this ending, go to 1999 AD (Epoch, Bucket, or Black Omen) after returning Chrono to life or after finishing all the side quests. This unlocks All Movies except #3; Endings. Variations: If you killed Magus in your second meeting, Frog will be Glenn again. Ending 12: A Slide Show (Chrono Trigger) To trigger this ending, in a New Game+, immediately after Schala opens the sealed door to the throne room of Zeal Palace after speaking with Janus, immediately make your way back to the gate. Do not use the Mammon Machine. Return to the End Of Time and use the bucket. This unlocks Music Box 61-96; Boss Data. Music test Enter "BGMXXXXX" as a name. For the Japanese version of the game, enter "B-G-M-Ki-Ki-Ta-I" as a name. Score challenge mode (Japanese version) Obtain the Book Of Life in Chapter two. Then, stop reading the book before reaching the "Good Ending". Now read through the book again to access a hidden "Score Challenge mode". This mode allows the Chocobo Race sequence to be played for money. Control screen brightness (Japanese version) In the "Sound Novel", press L1 to increase or R1 to decrease the brightness. Full cure To cure your party in battle first put the battle mode on active. Then cast Regain on your party. After Regain, but before the next spell, open the PlayStation door. The battle will stop, but the regain will not. Instantly kill undead To instantly kill an undead (ghouls, skeletons, etc), simply throw them a Phoenix Down. You will never miss and they'll die instantly! Note: When you kill undead this way a timer will appear. If you don't finish the game before the timer reaches 0 the undead will rise again. Obtain strong weapons Enter the Deep Dungeon (or explore around the Deep Dungeon) and fight random battles. After awhile a battle with a few male ninjas and one female ninja will begin. The ability catch on all of you characters must be present. Kill all of the male ninjas during the beginning of the battle. Then, wait until the female ninja throws a weapon (Chaos blade, Nagra rock, etc). Since you have the catch ability on, the weapons will be yours. Obtain rare move find items When obtaining move find items that are spread throughout the game, step on the panel that has the item hidden beneath and lower your brave level. This increases the chances of obtaining a rare item. Duplicate weapons Set the Ninja "Two Swords" skill on anyone. Equip a shield in their right hand, and the item you want duplicated in their left. Now go to a shop that sells the items you want duplicated, choose "BEST FIT" and buy them. Next, go to the formation screen and remove the items. You should now have two of the item you had in the left hand. For example, to duplicate Excaliber, go to Lionel castle's shop. You'll get a second Excalibur for only 10 gold. Cloning swords The sword to be cloned must be weaker than any other sword that can be purchased. First, change your character to a Knight and equip two swords on him or her. Then, equip the sword to be clone in your character's lower hand and a shield in the upper hand. Go to a shop, select best fit, and purchase it. Your character should now have two of the desired sword. Cloning Samurai and Ninja swords Note: Orlandu must on your team to perform this trick. The sword to be cloned must be weaker than any other sword that can be purchased. Change Orlandu to his primary job and equip two swords on him. Then, equip the sword to be clone in the lower hand and a shield in the upper hand. Go to a shop, select best fit, and purchase it. Your character should now have two of the desired sword. Get Cloud This tip must be done during Chapter Four. Not that you should have about six empty spaces in your formation screen before attempting this. 1. Go to Zeltennia Castle and listen to the rumor called "Cursed Island". 2. Buy a flower from Aeris at Zarghidas Trade City then go to Goug machine city with Mustadio. The screen will fade and go to a scene of Mustadio, Ramza and a steel ball. 3. Go to the bar in Goland Coal City and listen to the rumor of the "Ghost of Colliery". 4. After this, go to Lesalia Imperia and the screen should shown a scene of a bar. When you leave, invite Beowulf to join your party. 5. Now that you have Beowulf, go to Goland Coal City and you will fight 4 battles here and save Reis. After you save Reis you will get a Zodiac Stone that will trigger the steel ball. 6. Return to Goug Machine City again and add the Robot to your party. 7. Now that you have the robot, go to Nelveska Temple. You will fight another robot kill him and you will recieve a stone that will bring Cloud to your world. 8. Now go back to Goug Machine City and you will trigger the time portal machine and it will suck Cloud from the future bringing him to your world. 9. Now go to Zarghidas Trade City and save Cloud from the thieves that are punking Aeris. Note: If this part didn't work make sure that you killed Dycerag and his Zodiac Soul Adramelk. When Cloud joins your party all he can do is defend and attack. You'll need to find his Materia Blade so that he can use all of his limit attacks from Final Fantasy VII. The Materia Blade is located in the Bervania Volcano. Set your party's on Move-Find Item. Then go to the highest tall rock and to the top of it. Conserve memory card slots Play the game in arcade mode, exit, then enter simulation mode and save the game. By doing this, the arcade and simulation mode information is saved together, cutting the amount of memory card slots used by half. Memory card battle with only one card Enter memory card battle mode. A message will appear stating that player one is loading and that no memory card was found for player two. Wait until the information has loaded for player one, then remove the memory card and insert it into the second memory card slot. The game will load data from that location and allow both players to participate in the memory card battle. Duplicate parts Purchase two identical cars. They may be given different color schemes if desired. Buy as many parts as desired for the first car. View the list of fitted parts of the first car from the garage. Then switch to the second car, get inside, and view its fitted parts list, which should be empty. While remaining in the second car, enter a spot race. At the qualify options, select "Machine Setting", then "Change Parts". All the parts from the first car should be available. Exit the race and return to the garage. View the list of fitted parts for both cars to see that all desired parts have been duplicated. Note: Only items available on the "Change Parts" menu may be duplicated. This trick will not work on cars that have been awarded. Super License Earn all licenses (A, B, Intl. A, Intl. B, Intl. C) to unlock the "Super License" option on the license test menu. Event Synthesizer race Earn the Super License to unlock the "Event Synthesizer" race in Gran Turismo League. Kiddie medal The small green and yellow object on the status screen under licenses is a license award given if you miss the bronze medal by .3 to .5 seconds. The game is selective when awarding the medal and it may take several attempts to earn one. Motor Sports Land track Obtain all of the licenses, including the Super License and the Motor Sports Land track will become available in time trial mode on the arcade disc. Increasing number of days To easily increase the number of days in the game, just go to a race. When you are at the screen with the "Start Race" selection, go to "Exit" and your days will increase by one. Increasing completion percentage Each time you win a race you will earn 4.5% towards your total completion of the game. Obtain licenses easier At the main menu in simulation mode, go to the last selection (Transfer or Communication). You can load your licenses from the original Gran Turismo here. More laps in Max Speed Test To make your high speed increase during this test, turn around and drive backwards until you get your desired speed. Return to the correct direction and finish the race. More car indicator When you want to buy a car and you are browsing, make sure you look in the right hand corner of the screen. If an arrow points to the right, click on it to see more cars. This also works with some special models. (Example: Ford has four special models). Finding cars If you cannot find a certain car in the used car lot, check back in about 10 days or more. The car you are looking for may be available. For example, the Mazda AZ-1 appears only on certain days in the lot. Easy Rally Racing Buy the ESCUDO Pikes Peak version and use it to compete in any of the Rally Races to easily defeat your opponents. Bonus cars and money Buy a Mitsubishi 3000GT and enter it into the 4WD Race. After winning that race you will receive a car that is great but only worth 125,000 credits. It has great handling and speed. First, get a fast car like a Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version. Then, go to the Tuned-Turbo Challenge and enter the Test Course. If you win, you will get 50,000 credits and a drag car that is worth 250,000 credits. You have to defeat the drag car to obtain it. The drag car does not corner very well, so take them slow. Win the 4WD Challenge at Laguna Seca to receive a 618 hp custom car. Take that car to the Tuned-Turbo Challenge and enter the Test-Track race. You will win 50,000 credits and a car worth 30,000 credits for each 3-lap race that is won. The secret to winning on the Test-Track is in the corners. Stay smooth and off the walls/grass to pass the faster cars. Do not let them block your car, and drive defensively once in the lead. You will also need licenses to race. Get a powerful and fast car, such as the Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec (R34.J) '99 and tune it to the max. Then, get an International A license. Go to Special Events, go to Line Up 4, choose Tuned Turbo Car No.1 Race at the Test Course. Finish in first place to get 50,000 credits and a Skyline that is worth 30,000 credits. Repeat this until you win a 250,000 Mine's HKS 180 SX (racing modified). Repeat again until you win a 13,750 Mines Lancer V (racing modified). After wining all National races, race any of the Euro-Pacific races. Each win will give you 10,000 credits plus a 250,000 credit car. Buy a used Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M(R32,J) '91. Completely outfit it with all performance and handling upgrades (excluding "For Professionals Only" items). Enter "Grand Touring Cup" and win first in Midfield Raceway (about 4 minutes). You will receive 30,000 credits plus a 250,000 credit Unisia Jecs Skyline. Sell the car. Repeat this process four times to earn about 1,120,000 credits in under sixteen minutes. Go to the "Muscle Car" event and enter the second race. Win this race to get a car worth 75,000 credits and 8,000 prize credits. Race the 30 lap endurance race. Win first place to get 150,000 credits and a Supra race car worth 250,000 credits. A recommended car is the '91 Supra Twin Turbo R outfitted with sports tires, sports brakes, sports suspension, chip upgrade, stage 1 turbo, racing intercooler, racing exhaust, and stage 2 weight reduction. Note: The race will take approximately 50 minutes to complete. Go to the Gran Turismo All-Star League and win the Laguna Seca race. You will receive 50,000 credits and the TVR Speed 12 which you can sell for 500,000 credits. Getting the GT One On-Road from Toyota and putting a stage 4 turbo on it is recommended. Race all of your licenses until you get all gold and a FTO LM. Take it to the Gran Turismo All-Star League. Race the Red Rock Valley twice and sell the car you win to end up with 1.1 million credits. At a certain point in front of the houses, you can drive up around them. There are two that have a "ski house" sign on them. Drive behind the farthest one up the hill. You should see a yellow and orange ball. Drive into it to load the secret level. Egypt bonus level Select Egypt level 1. Drive through the town at the beginning until you are out in the open desert. Immediately before the first tunnel is a piece of land with some buildings on the right side of the road. Drive to where the piece of land starts, and drive up the shortest side. This is the only way to get up there. Drive on it without steering back on the road. Drive for a few seconds until you reach the end of the piece of land. About at the end is an orange ball.
